Release Statement:

"Rise Achlys" delves into a dark and dramatic narrative, exploring themes of tragedy, sacrifice, and the relentless pursuit of vengeance. At its core, it's a story of a young half-vampire named Achlys, raised by his foster family, only to witness their gruesome murder.
 

Fueled by a desire for revenge and the longing to resurrect his loved ones, Achlys embarks on a harrowing journey to find his true father, the enigmatic Dracula. Achlys will lose everything he holds dear along this treacherous path, ultimately evolving into a character of profound strength and maturity.

My Contribution:

Role: Head Writer & Narrative Director / Game Artist

Achievements:

  • Wrote the game bible (story).

  • Designed dramatic arcs for the characters.

  • Built quest structure.

  • Composed cutscenes and wrote dialogues.

  • Co-directed voice-over.

  • Created pixel art, concept art, and storyboards.

GOOD GAME DESIGN FOLKS' Metroidvania—emphasis on "vania"—project in development.

An ambitious team, dedicated to making THE spiritual successor of Castlevania with minor RPG / roguelite / soulslike features, and a solid story.

All narrative elements—scenario, script, lore, dialogues, character profiles, etc—are made by me, myself, and I.

I also pitched in as an artist on occasion, having made the storyboard, concept art pieces, and certain pixel art assets.
